Abraham, the progenitor of Judaism, Islam, and Christianity, came from the city of אור “Aur,” sometimes written Ur or Or. The Hebrew word אור Aur means “light.” Abraham, who was very knowledgeable in Kabbalah, astrology, and many other ancient sciences, went from the city of “Aur” to Egypt. In Egypt, he learned that most of the Egyptians also inherited this type of knowledge of Kabbalah.
